The MM3 is based on the Smarty Touch hardware platform, but the similarities end there. The MM3 is dedicated to the custom tuning market and the professional tuner. 

The MM3 Tuner has everything installed right out of the box. It also features one of the fastest ECM downloads in the industry. A typical ECM update takes under 6 minutes. All MM3 tuners come blank out of the box as they are considered an "Open Tuning Platform". This allows you to load any tuner files into the device at any time.  

It is designed to be able to load tuning software files from CCS tuning upon request from the manufacturers of the tuning software, it can be easily adapted to load tuning files in any format. Simply put, CCS builds the performance software and the MM3 allows the tuner to get CCS tunes software into the ECM.
